Sink area inside La Belle Crepe |
We were amazed that they somehow fit a counter, kitchen, sink, and four stools into this tiny space. We were also surprised to see the variety of crepes that they have on their menu - both sweet and savory with lots of options for fillings.
While we were there the girl working was making some nutella crepe batter. That pretty much sealed the deal for Mark. We settled on coming back a week and a half later after our dentists appointments for a lunch date. But before we left, Mark ordered a nutella latte because he loves coffee and nutella is amazing. While I wasn't crazy about the drink (couldn't taste the coffee), Mark enjoyed it.
Fast forward a week and a half (4.3.12) when we returned for our lunch date. They were busy, but patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted. I ended up ordering a spicy crab melt and Mark decided on the caramel apple crepe. Mine came packaged as a wrap, except the wrap was a whole grain crepe instead of a tortilla. I thoroughly enjoyed my savory crepe. The crab filling was delicious. It was flavorful and spicy, but not overpowering. Definitely hit the spot. Mark also enjoyed his, but with caramel, apple, and whipped cream its hard to go wrong. Mark's was also packaged as a wrap and came with butter on top, which just tickled his fancy even more.
We left La Belle Crepe full and satisfied. We will be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes crepes and isn't claustrophobic. They do have outdoor seating too, so go enjoy the crepes at La Belle Crepe for breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, or dessert.
